A steering and oversight working group for the establishment of smart government has been formed in accordance with Iran's Seventh Development Plan. This group is chaired by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, with membership from the Minister of Intelligence, the Head of the Planning and Budget Organization, the Head of the Administrative and Recruitment Organization, and the Secretary of the Information Technology Executive Council. The secretariat of the Information Technology Executive Council is also responsible for the secretariat of this working group.
