A minimum 5-year plan should be developed for electronic government

In a letter to Ehsan Kiankhah, the head of the Parliament's digital economy committee, the new secretary of the Information Technology Executive Council asked him to follow the path of the former secretary. He has also raised requests such as planning to achieve the goals of e-government in the next 5 years and completing the government database.

At the beginning of this letter, Mojtaba Tawanger, the representative of Tehran and the head of the digital economy committee of the parliament, has thanked Reza Bagheri Asl, the former secretary of the executive council of information technology, and for establishing the national information exchange center in 2016, the system of free access to information in the same year and launching The working group of e-government interactivity in 2009 has been mentioned as Bagheri Asl's achievements.

Tawanger continued by thanking Bagheri Asl to refer to the Law of Durability and wrote: "At a time when the mind of the public legislative space was involved in a plan full of forms of protection, he established the Data Management and National Information Law, which was accompanied by the Digital Economy Committee of the Parliament and Some members of the Industries Commission, including Dr. Mustafa Taheri and Dr. Qalibaf Berg Zarini, received special support from the activities of the 11th Parliament.

He also praised Bagheri Asl's 7-year follow-up for drafting and approving the personal data protection bill, the draft of which was recently submitted to the government.

Tawanger then wrote to Ehsan Kiankhah that the former secretary's efforts in the development of smart and electronic government should continue with precision and effort.

He also wrote about the importance of data governance: "Data governance is very important for the country and the interoperability task force is its main pillar. The administration of the Interoperability Working Group, which facilitates the processes and relations between the executive bodies and even the non-governmental sector to provide services to the people, should be followed with sensitivity with the cooperation of the members.

His third request to the new secretary of the interactivity working group is to strengthen the supervision of the secretariat on electronic systems and services and not allow the conflict of interests and traditional processes to overcome technology.

He also asked to try to plan for at least 5 years to achieve the goals of e-government.

This representative of Tehran also asked Kiankhah to complete the government database within one year. He also mentioned the order of the 7th plan for the access of innovative businesses and startups to government data and emphasized the necessity of the secretary of the council's efforts to implement this order.
